Leaving from Tel Aviv in the early morning, you’ll travel to Eilat and transfer across the border into Jordan. Our tour departs early to ensure that we are the first group at the border in order to avoid delays and maximize the amount of time in Petra. Driving north to Petra, we’ll bring you to the amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of Petra. Petra is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, a Nabatean city that was lost for many hundreds of years. Rediscovered some 200 years ago, it is described by UNESCO as ‘one of the most precious cultural properties of man’s cultural heritage’. In this tour of Petra from Tel Aviv, you’ll explore the famous landmarks and hidden corners of the site, staring in awe at the impressiveness of man’s construction almost 2000 years ago. 03:00 – Meet our team in Tel Aviv, transfer by road from Tel Aviv to Eilat through the Negev Desert

11:00 – Quick stop for bathrooms, opportunity to purchase snacks/coffee, enjoy a quick view of Mount Haroun
11:30 – Arrive at Petra. Experience a guided tour of the site (maximum group size of 25 passengers with guide).
16:30 – Meet at the exit of Petra and begin the return journey to the border passing Wadi Rum
18:30 – Arrive back to the border
19:30 – Return to Eilat, return transfer to Tel Aviv, road transfer back to Tel Aviv is approximately 4 hours

Price does not include border fees of US$65 which should be paid in cash at the border (USD or ILS are accepted), as well as Jordanian visa fee of $60 for those who have not pre-arranged a visa.
Optional transfer by flight from Tel Aviv to Eilat and back is available only for private tours, which should be noted at the time of booking (please enquire for further information).

Our tour departs as early as possible to ensure timely arrival to the border crossing. By arriving first this means a quick crossing procedure and more time spent in Petra.
Guided tour portion in Petra will have a maximum of 25 passengers however transportation may be with more passengers. Transportation may be shared as larger vehicles are more comfortable and accommodating.
Tour includes a water bottle. For those interested in eating at a local restaurant in Petra, this can be done during the free time on the tour, both inside or outside Petra.
Our Petra tour aims to include approximately 4-6 hours in Petra, including 2-2.5 hours guided tour and free time. Also, our vehicle goes directly from Tel Aviv to the border and you will not have to drive through another city on the way.
