This comprehensive 4-day tour takes you to the absolute best in Jordan, allowing some extra time to linger in Petra’s majestic atmosphere and much more. You will depart from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv and visit Jerash, Madaba, Mount Nebo, Amman, the capital city, including the Citadel and Roman Theater and the most notable sites in the Northern part of the country. Continue to Petra, for a guided tour, followed by one day of independent exploration. Don’t miss out on the chance to join the stunning experience of “Petra by Night”, on Wednesday night, when the ruins will be lit by candlelight. Continue to Wadi Rum, for a jeep tour in this magic desert resembling the surface of Mars. Accommodation is included in Bedouin camp or in the hotel, up to your choice. The tour departs every Tuesday and Friday from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
This tour will continue to operate in 2019 with no need to pre-arrange a Jordanian visa.

Petra and Wadi Rum from Jerusalem 4-day Tour Highlights
Depart from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem and head to Sheikh Hussein border crossing. Cross into Jordan with assistance.
Visit Jerash, the biggest Roman site in the area.
Explore Amman, Jordan’s capital city including the Citadel and Roman theater. Enjoy free time old market in Amman.
Tour Madaba, and its Byzantine mosaics. King’s way to Petra (views of Wadi Mujib, Dana, pass Shobak).
From Mount Nebo, see the stunning desert view across the Holy Land, the same view Moses saw after ‘wandering 40 years in the desert’ (not available from November to March, due to sunset time).
Stay overnight in a hotel in Amman.
Enjoy a guided tour of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. You’ll visit the most famous and iconic highlights including the Siq, Obelisk Tomb, Calligraphy, Treasury, Jabal Madbach (the sacrificial palace), Tombs, Theater, Mountaintop Tombs.
At night, you will have the option to join the “Petra by night” candlelight show in Petra (extra 17 JOD per person/$25 approx) not included in the tour. You can ask your guide to assist to book your tickets).
Stay overnight in a hotel at Petra.
On the following morning, enjoy a day to independently explore Petra, at your own pace. You’ll have the chance to hike in the most hidden corners, or make your way to the impressive Monastery, and see the sunrise at the site.
Head south towards Wadi Rum for your dinner and overnight in a fully equipped Bedouin Camp, to experience the Bedouin desert lifestyle (option to stay in a hotel in Aqaba is available for no extra cost, if staying in the hotel dinner is not included).
Enjoy a jeep safari tour in Wadi Rum desert reserve led by our local Bedouin guides.
Stop at Aqaba and tour its vibrant markets and free time.
Return to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.

Day 1 – 5:30 – Depart from Jerusalem and transfer to the Bet Shean Border (Sheikh Hussein)
Day 1 – 8:00 – Cross border into Jordan
Day 1 – 10:00 – Tour of Jerash followed by Jordanian style lunch at a local restaurant
Day 1 – 15:30 – Tour Amman, including the Citadel and Roman Theatre. Enjoy free time in the market places exploring at leisure
Day 1 – 18:30 – Arrive at hotel, overnight in Amman (dinner included)
Day 2 – 8:00 – Breakfast at the hotel
Day 2 – 9:00 – Travel to Madaba, and enjoy its Byzantine mosaics
Day 2 – 11:30 – Tour Mount Nebo (not available from November to March, due to sunset time)

Day 2 – 17:30 – Drive to Petra. Overnight in Petra (dinner Included) Optional tour “Petra by night”, tickets to purchase on the site (17 JOD per person)
Day 3 – 7:30 – Breakfast at hotel
Day 3 – 8:00 – Enter the archaeological site of Petra and start your tour by our licensed guide
Day 3 – 20:00 – Overnight in Bedouin Camp in Wadi Rum (dinner included)
Day 4 – 08:00 – Breakfast and leisure time (optional hot air balloon, camel rides, to be arranged locally, additional fees will apply)
Day 4 – 10:00 – Head into the Wadi Rum reserve on a jeep safari led by our local Bedouin guides
Day 4 – 12:00 – Return to camp
Day 4 – 13:00 – Head to Aqaba
Day 4 – 14:00 – Arrival in Aqaba, free time in the markets for lunch
Day 4 – 18:00 – Return to the border
Day 4 – 19:30 – Return to the Israeli side of the border, return to Jerusalem/Tel Aviv, travel time is approximately 4 hours
NB – On Fridays, the tour will depart at 5.30 AM from Tel Aviv and 6.30 AM from Jerusalem.

If border crossing into Jordan takes longer than expected, activities may be removed from Day 1.
For the Petra and Wadi Rum Tour from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv price includes pickup and transportation to all sites from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, entrance fees, accommodation in Bedouin campsite or hotel, all guiding, water bottle. The first day includes lunch and dinner, the second day includes breakfast and dinner, the third day includes breakfast and dinner, the fourth day includes breakfast.
Price excludes border fees of $65 per person, drinks, tips, ticket to “Petra by Night” show.
For those who would prefer to stay in a hotel, this can be arranged at no extra cost. Single travelers will pay a $25 per night single supplement. In winter months a hotel may be used instead of a Bedouin camp. If staying in a hotel, dinner is not included.
Our tour departs as early as possible to ensure timely arrival to the border crossing. By arriving first this means a quick crossing procedure and more time spent in Petra.
Maximum of 25 passengers per group (in Petra). Please note that while in transportation, groups may be larger. We find that larger buses are more comfortable and accommodating. However, the time spent guided in Petra will be a maximum of 25 passengers per group.
Tour begins and ends in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. For those who would like, drop off in Aqaba or Eilat can be arranged at no extra cost.
Tour language is English every day.

Border fee is for departure tax from Israel, the departure tax for operated groups from Jordan, arrangement, and preparation of Jordan visa, assistance service from border representative on departure from Israel, assistance service from border representative on arrival in Jordan, and assistance service from border representative on departure from Jordan.
Please note that during Ramadan the tour will cross to Israel by 18:00, due to earlier closure of the border.
