Visit the ancient city of Petra, a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Explore Wadi Rum, the ‘Valley of the Moon’, with its stunning desert scenery. And discover the impressive sites of Jerash, Madaba, Mount Nebo, as well as the capital of Jordan, and the port city of Aqaba. The Petra and Wadi Rum tour from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv is fully guided with transportation to and from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. The trip includes two nights in a Bedouin campsite or hotel. The tour departs every Tuesday and Friday from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Petra and Wadi Rum from Jerusalem Tour Highlights
Leave on this three-day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, heading to the Bet Shean Border (Sheikh Hussein) from where you’ll cross into Jordan (visa is issued at the border).
Visit Jerash, the wondrous ancient Roman City.
Drive through Amman, Jordan’s sprawling capital city.
Tour Madaba, and its famous Byzantine mosaics.
See the same view across the Promised Land as Moses had after 40 years of wandering in the desert from Mount Nebo (not available from November to March, due to sunset time).
Stay overnight in a hotel at Petra. The other overnight will be in a Bedouin Campsite.

Day 1 – 4.30 – Depart from Tel Aviv in our modern air-conditioned transport.
Day 1 – 5:30 – Depart from Jerusalem in our modern air-conditioned transport, and transfer to the Bet Shean Border (Sheikh Hussein)
Day 1 – 8:30 – Cross border into Jordan
Day 1 – 11:00 – Short tour of Jerash
Day 1 – 12:30 – Lunch break (snackbox)
Day 1 – 15:30 – Tour Madaba
Day 1 – 16:30 – Tour Mount Nebo (not available from November to March, due to sunset time)
Day 1 – 17:30 – Drive south to Petra
Day 1 – 20:00 – Arrive at hotel in Petra (Dinner included)
Day 2 – 7:30 – Breakfast at the hotel and head to nearby Petra
Day 2 – 8:00 – Enter the amazing city of Petra and embark upon a tour of the site fully led by our expert guide
Day 2 – 16:30 – Depart Petra for Wadi Rum, driving south along the ‘Desert Highway’. Arrive to the campsite in Wadi Rum and enjoy an authentic dinner in the desert setting
Day 3 – 08:00 – Breakfast at the campsite enjoying the beautiful morning skies of Wadi Rum
Day 3 – 10:00 – Head into the Wadi Rum reserve on a jeep safari led by our local Bedouin guides
Day 3 – 12:00 – Return to camp, free time with optional activities
Day 3 – 13:00 – Head to Aqaba
Day 3 – 14:00 – Arrival in Aqaba, free time in the markets for lunch
Day 3 – 18:00 – Return to the border
Day 3 – 19:30 – Return to the Israeli side of the border, return to Jerusalem/Tel Aviv, travel time is approximately 4 hours
NB – On Fridays, the tour will depart at 5.30 AM from Tel Aviv and 6.30 AM from Jerusalem.

If border crossing into Jordan takes longer than expected, activities may be removed from Day 1.
For the Petra and Wadi Rum Tour from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, price includes Pickup and transportation to all sites from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, entrance fees, accommodation in Bedouin campsite or hotel, all guiding, water bottle, and meals as outlined above.
Price excludes border fee of $65 per person, drinks, tips.
Single travelers will pay a $25 single supplement fee per night.
For those who would prefer to stay in a hotel, this can be arranged at no extra cost. In winter months a hotel may be used instead of a Bedouin camp. If staying in a hotel, dinner is not included.
Tour begins and ends in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. For those who would like, drop off in Aqaba or Eilat can be arranged at no extra cost.
Maximum of 25 passengers per group (in Petra). Please note that while in transportation, groups may be larger. We find that larger buses are more comfortable and accommodating. However, the time spent guided in Petra will be a maximum of 25 passengers per group.
Tour language is English every day.

Please note, border fees are NOT included in the tour price and are paid directly at the border, in cash. Border fee is for departure tax from Israel, departure tax for operated groups from Jordan, arrangement, and preparation of Jordan visa, assistance service from border representative on departure from Israel, assistance service from border representative on arrival in Jordan, and assistance service from border representative on departure from Jordan.
Please note that during Ramadan the tour will cross to Israel by 18:00, due to earlier closure of the border.
