From January 2016, a newly announced alliance between United Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, Brussels Airlines and Air Canada, will increase the options for travelers visiting Israel from North America, with greater connecting options in Europe, for those traveling from cities which do not have direct flights to Tel Aviv. For example, someone traveling from Chicago, without direct flights to Israel, could now fly with United to one of the European cities served by Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, or Brussels Airlines, and continue to Tel Aviv, with more ticketing options than before, and better pricing offers. Whilst nothing beats more direct flights to Tel Aviv, greater options for travelers at better prices and more convenient transfers, will help more visitors reach Israel in comfort.
