Due to the surge of Israeli tourists visiting Morocco in 2023, Arkia Airlines, an Israeli flight carrier, has revealed new direct flights connecting Essaouira, Morocco to Tel Aviv, Israel, beginning in September 2023. The establishment of this direct route between the two coastal cities will help secure the relationship between these nations. The spike in tourism activity can be the result of December 2020’s Abraham Accords agreement by Rabat. This led to an influx of Israelis with Moroccan heritage, making their way to the North African nation.
