Icelandair have announced that as of May 2023, they will operate seasonal direct flights between Iceland and Israel. This is the first direct flight to Iceland, and a strategic move for the company who function as a popular stopover on flights to the USA from Europe. Not only is this a great new location for travelers from the nordic region, but it opens up more possibilites for American travelers to get to Israel.
The first roster of flights will operate three times a week between Reykjavik and Tel Aviv from Keflavig Airport. Between May 10th and October 29th, the flights will run Iceland to Tel Aviv on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and Tel Aviv to Iceland on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight will take around seven hours.
