As of 22nd December 2022, Hainan airlines is opening a new route from Shanghai to Tel Aviv. This announcement comes just days after the Chinese airline announced the re-opening of their operations in Israel. Hainan ceased flights to Israel throughout the pandemic. They restarted their flights to Israel in November, with the first flight in three years coming into Ben Gurion Airport from Shenzen. Now, Hainan are gearing up to open more lines.
