El Al expected to Launch Direct Flights from Melbourne, Australia to Tel Aviv, Israel in 2023

El Al Israel Airlines is expected to launch a direct flight route directly from Melbourne, Australia to Tel Aviv, Israel, sometime in 2023. The planned route was supposed to launch in the second quarter of 2020, but was delayed due to the covid pandemic, although a special covid “rescue” flight was flown during 2020 between the cities. The 15-hour flight to Australia will use the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and will be the longest direct flight El Al has ever done to date.
