Jerusalem Day (Yom Yerushalayim) is the day that commemorates Israel’s re-gain of control over the city in 1967. It is celebrated every year in May or June and is a day featuring festivities and events across Jerusalem – this year Jerusalem Day will take place June 1-2, 2019.
For the first time in 30 years, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem will be closed for Jewish visitors in Jerusalem. Special events will be held throughout Jerusalem, mostly free events throughout the day and into the evening.
