New archeology wing at Terra Sancta Museum, Jerusalem, Israel. June 27, 2018

The Terra Sancta Museum in Jerusalem opens a new archeology wing this June 2018. The Terra Sancta Museum is one of the most relevant museums for Christian history in the old city of Jerusalem, located at the Monastery of the Flagellation, a fascinating testament of Medieval Jerusalem, on the famous Via Dolorosa. The new wing hosts an interactive display of the Christian history of Jerusalem and the Holy Land, through multimedia and archeological findings. A temporary exhibition (The House of Herod: Life and Power in the Age of the New Testament) will inaugurate the wing opening, from June 27, 2018. The Terra Sancta Museum is accessible via Lion’s Gate, and it is open everyday from 9 am to 6 pm (5 pm in wintertime).
