Safed Klezmer Festival. August 9-11, 2022

The yearly Safed Klezmer Festival is a wonderful opportunity for people to come to the city and experience its history, heritage and culture while enjoying traditional Jewish Klezmer music. The Safed Klezmer Festival with eight open air stages which are set up around the parks and public squares of the Old Jewish Quarter and Artists Quarter, all within a 10 minute walk of each another. It will take place between August 9-11, 2022 in the city of Safed.

Each stage hosts a variety of different group of musicians and bands each evening which range from conventional Klezmer music to other traditional Jewish music, including well-known musicians.

Visitors can stay in Safed overnight for a full night of music and events or may visit for just one evening of the Festival. For visitors who are coming in for one night, parking lots are set up outside of the city where people park their cars and enter the city by bus. These buses ferry guests back and forth throughout the night. There is a small parking fee and bus charge.

The roads into Safed close to traffic at approximately 17:00 so people who are staying in Safed or those who want to come in earlier in the afternoon can drive right into the city and park on one of the streets surrounding the Old City/Artists Quarter for free. There is no difficulty in leaving the city. Public buses from Haifa, Tiberias, Jerusalem and other cities also continue to operate according to schedule.
