Be part of our special holiday with the Christmas in Bethlehem and Jerusalem 2 Day tour. You will spend Christmas Eve and Day visiting many of the major religious sites that surround this Christian holiday. The tour begins in the afternoon on Christmas Eve. You will be picked up and driven to the Mount of Olives, outside of the Old City walls. Here you will have a striking panoramic view of Jerusalem. You will pass the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane on your way to the entrance of the Old City. Upon entering, you will visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the site that marks Jesus’ crucifixion.
After leaving the church, your journey continues to the city of Bethlehem, where Jesus was born. After going through a checkpoint, you will begin to see the city filled with lights and decorations. Manger Square is where the evening celebration will occur. Join other Christians as they sing songs near the large Christmas tree. Here in Manger Square, you will enjoy a Christmas dinner. Following the dinner, you will wait for Midnight Mass, which can be watched on large screens set up in Manger Square. There may be a chance to attend Midnight Mass in the Church of the Nativity. Following the service, you go to your hotel in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem for the night.
The following morning on Christmas Day, you will be picked up from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. You will journey to the ancient city of Ein Kerem, outside of Jerusalem. This town is where many believe John the Baptist was born. Discover the ancient sides with your knowledgeable guide. Stop at Qasr el Yehud, the baptism site at the Jordan River, before heading to the Dead Sea. Enjoy some free time at the Dead Sea Beach before departing and heading back home.
