9 Day Jewish Heritage Israel Tour Package Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival
  • Check-in to your hotel in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. Enjoy a free day to settle in and venture out to start to explore the unique flavors of Israel
  • Overnight in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv
  • Airport transfer is available if pick up from the airport is selected.
Day 2 - Jerusalem
  • Begin your tour of the holiest city in Judaism, Jerusalem.
  • Enter the Old City, and tour the four quarters including the Western (Wailing) Wall (Kotel), Souq, Mount Zion, Cardo, as well as general highlights such as the Via Dolorosa and Church of the Sepulcher
  • Enjoy quiet time at the Western Wall to pray or place a note in the cracks
  • After leaving the Old City, head into New Jerusalem with a stroll down Jaffa Street. See the the Municipality complex, Davidka Square and more, as you soak in the vibrant street life.
  • The day ends with a tasting of local foods in the bustling Mahane Yehuda Market. Enjoy the evening here and head back to your hotel.

Day 3 - City of David and Underground Tunnels of Jerusalem
  • Tour the City of David, the royal city dating to the Israelite King David which sits just across the valley from the walls of the Old City

  • Venture into the ancient tunnels which lie underneath the Old City of Jerusalem - visiting either Hezekiah's Tunnel or Warren's Shaft

  • Climb Masada by cable car, admiring the views across the Dead Sea region, the palace of King Herod, and learning the story of this remarkable site.
  • Take a walk through the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, an oasis in the desert of impressive proportions
  • Relax at the Dead Sea, floating in the waters and immersing in the muds

Day 6 - Tel Aviv Free Day
  • Enjoy a free day of leisure to explore the modern city of Tel Aviv. Explore the city's vibrant culinary scene, cafe culture, or relax at the beach.
  • Perhaps visit a leading museum such as the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora or the Tel Aviv Museum of Art

Day 7 - Caesarea, Akko and Haifa
  • Pickup from your hotel in the morning

  • Explore Israel’s third city, Haifa set on the slopes of Mount Carmel which you will drive alongside on the way

Day 8 - Best of Tel Aviv and Jaffa Walking Tour
  • Get up close and personal with Tel Aviv, Israel's modern metropolis
  • Walk along Mediterranean Coast, the Old Jaffa Port, and the beautiful alleyways of the Old Jaffa and Flea Market. Hear about the history of Jaffa before moving on to the most pitoresque neighborhood in Tel Aviv, Neve Tzedek, the first Jewish neighborhood outside of Old Jaffa.
  • Visit the Carmel Market, Tel Aviv's most famous food market. Learn about local cuisines, and taste several dishes from the vendors.
  • Continue to the Florentin neighborhood in the southern part of the city, and see the area's street art which explains the modern culture of Tel Aviv and the differences in the fabric of modern day Israeli society.
