Free Opera in the Park in Tel Aviv: Early September 2026

Tel Aviv hosts an annual opera in the park performance every July in the beautiful Yarkon Park in the north of the city. The 2011 opera will take place on Thursday July 19 at 9pm and will be a special outdoor performance of Mozart's Magic Flute. Entrance is, of course free, and seating is on the grass so be sure to get there a little early, bring a blanket, and have a great evening. Read More

The International Puppet Theater & Film Festival in Holon, Israel

The International Puppet Theater and Film Festival takes place every July in the Israeli city of Holon, just south of Tel Aviv. Started in 1995, the festival which is organized by the Israel Puppet Center, hosts around 30 performances by resident and international artists, conferences, exhibitions, and an opening street procession. There are also workshops for professionals and amateurs. The festival is largely free to the public and is taking place between July 21-30, 2011. Read More
