On this one day tour to Mount Sinai and Saint Catherine, departing from Eilat or Tel Aviv, you’ll visit two of the most impressive and important sites in the Middle East. This remarkable tour will depart from Eilat in the early morning, traveling through Egypt’s Sinai desert to St Catherine. Climbing Mount Sinai by road, you’ll see the site of the Burning Bush and Well of Jethro’s Daughters. Arriving at St Catherine, you’ll tour the monastery including the famous skull room and olive grove, and understand the immense importance of this area to Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Departing Mount Sinai, we’ll stop for lunch in a nearby Bedouin village, and, if time permits, stop off at the Red Sea resort of Nuweiba with an opportunity for swimming or snorkeling, before returning to Eilat.
Sinai and St Catherine Tour Highlights
06:30 Pickup from hotels in Eilat and transfer to the Taba border crossing with Egypt
07:30 Cross into Egypt with border assistance, meet your guide and drive south through Sinai’s Desert
09:30 Tour of St Catherine’s Monastery, including the skull room and olive grove
13:00 Lunch at a restaurant
15:00 Drive back toward the Taba border crossing, stopping at the beach in the resort of Nuweiba, if time permits
19:00 Arrival at Taba (taxis are available for around $10 to most destinations in Eilat)

Departures from Tel Aviv are in the late evening on day before tour, returning to Tel Aviv in the evening after the tour. Hotel in Eilat is not included but can be arranged.
Tour departs daily from Eilat. Tour with flights from Tel Aviv is available.
The Monastery is closed on Sundays. The tour still operates but does not go inside the Monastery.
