Masada Sunrise, Ein Gedi & Dead Sea Tour

Our Masada Sunrise Tour from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem includes Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea and is the easiest, cheapest and most comprehensive way to visit this region of Israel. Start your day with a sunrise climb of Masada, ascending to the top of the ancient fortress in darkness and gradually witness the lighting-up of the surroundings. Once reaching the top of the mountain, sit back, relax and take in the beauty of this extraordinary event. After the highlight of our Masada Sunrise Tour, head to the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, an extraordinary oasis with magnificent desert plants, wildlife, and waterfalls perched between a barren and empty desert. Enjoy walking through the greenery and cooling off in the springs. And finally, float in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. The lake is made up of 34% salt and contains minerals and muds with special healing properties.
With stunning scenery, wildlife, fun and adventure, no trip to Israel could be complete without a visit! The Masada Sunrise Tour starts and ends conveniently in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and is self-guided, with direction but no accompanying tour guide for a more independent style of travel. Masada is a place of triumph and tragedy, a symbol of strength and resistance. What makes our tour so special is its early departure time in order to catch the incredible sunrise. The sunrise hike to the top of Masada is something of a national icon in Israel, with youth and groups of all ages taking this hike both for its beauty and historic significance. The amazing views across the surrounding landscapes are perhaps the ultimate highlight of our Masada Sunrise Tour. You will not be disappointed! Perched on top of a mountain, Masada, an ancient desert fortress, overlooks the Dead Sea on one side and the extraordinary landscape of the Negev desert to the other. It is famous for being the last stand of the Jewish revolt against the Romans. Here, the ancient Maccabi's withheld a brutal Roman siege for over a year. With the inevitable fall of the city, the Maccabis' committed suicide, preferring to die free than to become slaves of the Roman empire. What remains today are carefully maintained archaeological ruins that dot the ancient fortress, bringing to life the story of what once was.
