Join us on our Levinsky Market and Cooking Workshop Tour, a gastronomic journey through one of the tastiest and trendiest areas of Tel Aviv. The Levinsky Market is located in Tel Aviv’s Florentin neighborhood, a neighborhood renowned for its food, street art, and yes, its abundance of hipsters. But don’t fret, the market area has managed to maintain its authenticity over the years. A place where the old sits adjacent to the new, you will see how age-old food trends have evolved to satisfy the modern-day consumer.

In the Levinsky Market, every nook and cranny tells a different story. Our tour will take you to discover the local market and the personal stories behind every storefront. Our tour will begin with a briefing on the market’s history. As we make our way through the stalls and shops, you will learn about exotic local ingredients and become familiar with the must-have spices and herbs found in every Israeli kitchen. You will have the chance to sample iconic dishes, like gazoz, a soda water with natural fruit syrup, and bourekas, stuffed phyllo pastries filled with potatoes, cheese, or mushrooms.

After perusing the market and buying ingredients, we will make our way to the chef’s kitchen, where you will learn to cook local dishes. Learn how to make baba ganoush with green tahini and mujadara, a Levantine dish of rice and brown lentils with caramelized onions, among many other dishes. For dessert, you’ll try the most popular sweet in Israel, malabi, a milk pudding infused with rose syrup and coconut or and peanuts sprinkled on top. You’ll have a cocktail of your choice to accompany your meal – try the national liquor, Arak, mixed with grapefruit, mint, and cucumber. Join our Levinsky Market and Cooking Workshop Tour for the ultimate Tel Aviv food experience.
