Appreciate the desert at night with a Evening Desert Tour from Eilat. Our three-hour tour allows visitors to get a feel for life in the desert after dark and helps them better understand the surrounding nature and creatures within this very special climate.
After being picked up from your accommodation in Eilat, you will drive into the desert in Israel. After finding a spot to park, the evening begins by laying out a rug for everyone to sit on. The group will help find wood for a fire in order to cook dinner. Working together, you will create a “Bedouin-style” meal with goat cheese, labneh, olives, vegetables and pita bread. During this time, you will also learn about the history of the people and animals who have lived in the desert for centuries.
Following dinner, the group will embark on a 30-minute desert hike to Amram’s Pillars, ancient sandstone columns located in the Eilat Mountains Nature Reserve. After the hike, the group will go back to the van and drive along the fence that separates the two countries of Israel and Jordan before returning back to Eilat.
