Our Caesarea, Akko and Nazareth Tour explores the diversity and beauty of Northern Israel in one day. Marvel at King Herod’s ancient seaside city of Caesarea, explore the bustling markets in Akko and tour Nazareth with its rich biblical history. This full-day tour, led by our handpicked Israeli tour guides, departs from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem and is a fun and convenient way to see the best of the North in just one day.
Start your fully guided tour in Caesarea, a magnificent example of ancient Roman architecture and engineering abilities that lies on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The majestic port city, complete with a large harbor and a palace, was constructed under King Herod over the course of 12 years. The impressive amphitheater still stands and a fascinating multimedia presentation about the site brings the past to life. Drive further north along the Mediterranean coast to the walled city of Akko, where Greeks, Romans, Ottomans, and Crusaders have all made their mark over the centuries. This multicultural city is full of winding alleyways and a vibrant Turkish bazaar, full of sweet-smelling pastries and colorful crafts. Next, you will continue to Nazareth for a tour of Jesus’ hometown, which is now the largest Arab city in Israel. Leaving Nazareth, you will ascend to Mount Precipice where you will enjoy a panoramic view from the place where, according to legend, an angry city mob attempted to throw Jesus down the cliffs.
Our Caesarea, Akko and Nazareth Tour shows you the highlights of the North and ends with return transfer to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. You will return to your starting point with wonderful memories and lasting impressions. The tour is available twice every week with guaranteed departures.
