The successful summer operas at Masada are becoming a summer tradition, and 2015 will see Tosca at Masada. This unique festival takes place each June and sees the Israeli Opera perform one classic at the foot of the iconic Masada Fortress, beside the Dead Sea. Tosca is a work of Puccini, a fiery drama in which the corrupt police chief will do all that it takes to win Tosca’s favors. Conducted by Daniel Oren, who has led the Israeli Opera in recent Masada performances, including La Traviata, Aida, Nabucco, and Carmen, Tosca will continue the Masada Opera Festival’s legacy as one of the world’s top operatic events. Tosca will be performed at Masada on June 4, 6, 11, and 13, 2015. Tickets are on sale now.
