A major concert and festival for peace, Song of the Dove, will take place in Haifa, Israel’s third city, in July 2014. Featuring a strong line-up of Israeli musicians from throughout the ages, including legends Barry Sakharov, Ethnix, Orphaned Land, Yonathan Geffen, and singers of today’s popular generation Muki, Hadag Nachash, and singers from Israel’s Arab population, Halas and System Ali, as well as iconic figures from sport, culture, and Israeli society. The Song of Dove event and the event is a recreation of the ‘Israeli Woodstock’, a 24 hour peace marathon held in the 1980’s in Tel Aviv’s Park Hayarkon, just a year after Israel’s iconic peace agreement with Egypt. Singing for Peace will take place at the Haifa Convention Center on July 3, 2014. Tickets are on sale now.
