Paul Simon wil be giving a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel on July 21, 2011 at the Ramat Gan stadium. The Israel concert is part of his world tour for his new album “So Beautiful or So What” and will be his third visit to Israel.

Simon launched his tour in May and has since toured the United States and Europe. He will be returning to Israel for what will be his third concert after first performing here in a solo gig in 1978 and returning in 1983 with Art Garfunkel as part of the Simon & Garfunkel duo.
Ahead of the concert, Simon released a message to his Israeli fans last Monday in which he said: “Shalom, this is Paul Simon”. “I’m looking forward to seeing all of you on the 21st of July at the Ramat Gan stadium. See you soon!”
This week it was revealed that the venue will hold 24,000 people, less than it has done for past concerts. Due to this reconfiguration, the audience is now twice as close to the stage as it has previously been. In addition, two video screens will be placed either side of the stage. These are expected to be the largest such screens ever used in Israel!
The concert is seeing strong demand from the Israeli public and the concert promoters have restricted two grass areas for special standing tickets at NIS 390 (about $115).
