Ghenghis Khan in the Golan is a Mongolian tent village located in the Golan Heights, just east of the Sea of Galilee. Ghengis Khan in the Golan offers an unbeatable location, just a short distance from the shoreline of the Sea of Galilee in the foothills of the striking and beautiful Golan Heights. The location means that there are magnificent views across the Sea of Galilee and beyond, to the city of Tiberias, and Mount Tavor. As well as tens of historic and religious sites in the region, Ghengis Khan in the Golan is the perfect base for hiking, horseback riding, biking, or simply relaxing. Nearby sites include The Kursi, Capernaum, and Hippos, as well as many hiking trails the Golan Trail, and the Yehudia Reserve.
Accommodation at Ghengis Khan in the Golan is in five Mongolian tents – four hold up to ten people, and one up to six. Each tent is air conditioned and benefits from a private bathroom adjacent to the tent. Bedding is provided on comfortable mattresses (these are truly five star tents!) In the village, there is a big lawn, a communal kitchen with equipment for guests to use, and place for picnics and barbecues.
Run by its friendly hands on owners, Sara and Benzi Zafrir who built the village themselves in 2007, Ghengis Khan in the Golan is somewhere you cannot forget staying. It gets amazing review (check TripAdvisor) and when you visit, you’ll soon understand why.
