The Australian Film Festival, at its 12th edition, takes place in three locations in Israel: in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem Cinematheques. It screens six films and one documentary to present the best of Australia’s film industry. Amongst the films we find: “The Dressmaker” with Kate Winslet, Judy Davis and Liam Hemsworth; “The Daughter” with Oscar winner Geoffrey Rush; “Charlie’s Country”, story of a remote Aboriginal community in the northern part of Australia. In 2016, the Australian Film Festival takes place at the Jerusalem Cinematheque between February 8-18, at the Haifa Cinematheque Between February 10-17 and in Tel Aviv between February 8-15.
