African Film Festival in Tel Aviv, Israel. January 16-20, 2018

The first edition of the African Film Festival will take place in Tel Aviv, Israel, in January 2018. The Festival, which name “ATESIB” means “Don’t worry” in Amharic, is a five-day event which program includes some of the best movies about the African continent. Amongst the titles: Facing the Wall (2016), Captain Thomas Sankara: The Upright Man (2014), Wùlu (2016), Rain the Colour Blue with a Little Red in it (2015). The festival also features lectures, documentary screenings and live radio. The festival will be attended by the founder and artistic director of the African Film Festival in New York, and is set to be the first of many further editions. The African Film Festival will take place at the Tel Aviv’s Cinematheque on January 16-20, 2018.
