The Gilboa Scenic Road is your access point into this array of hikes, viewpoints, picnic sites, bike paths, and stunning outlooks, and is a great path to follow when exploring the area.

Settlement has been taking place around the Sea of Galilee for thousands of years. Ruins of ancient settlements today stand alongside some of the pioneering and oldest communities established in Israel, including some of the oldest kibbutzim. Active sites sit alongside some important religious and historical ruins.

The Galilee makes up most of Northern Israel and, in contrast to the desert scenery of the south, offers a breathtaking lush green, mountainous landscape. With vineyards, small agricultural settlements, incredible vistas, and tranquil country-style accomodation, as well as important religious and cultural sites, the Galilee is fun, relaxing, and interesting.
