6 Sleep in Israel

Israel has accommodation spanning all styles and price ranges.

Israel has a big selection of places to stay...from international resort-style hotels by the likes of Sheraton and Hilton, to local run chains, bed and breakfasts, and traditional-style inns. Boutique hotels have sprung up around the country, especially in Tel Aviv over the past years, whilst self catering accommodation is available around Israel. Kibbutzim and moshavim have, in many cases, established their own accommodations, ranging from luxury hotels and guesthouses to cottages and zimmers (read on!)

In the rural areas, one of the most popular types of accommodation are zimmers. These are part bed and breakfast, part home stay accommodations, usually run by everyday Israelis. Whilst some zimmers are simple rooms in someone's house, most of the 8,000 zimmers are rural cabins built alongside the owner's main home, with guests offered perks such as shiatsu massage, homemade bread and jam, and Jacuzzis. We think that the idea of a private cabin is a really cool way to stay when trying to relax.
