Rock musician and guitarist Carlos Santana will include Israel in his summer tour, the Yedioth Ahronoth daily reported Thursday.
Santana, who is widely considered one of the world’s greatest musicians, will take the stake at Jaffa’s Blumfield Stadium in June, along with 10 backup musicians.
The Grammy Award-winning performer will join a growing roster of A-listers who will be rocking Israeli audiences this year: Beyonce, Rihanna, Pixies, Elton John and U2 are also planning to include the Holy Land in their forthcoming tours.
Santana’s performance in Israel was arranged by producer Shuki Weiss.
UPDATE
- The show will be one night only, and on June 3rd at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv

how many concerts wil there be do i have to buy tickets now?
There will be just one concert, on June 3rd. It might be a good idea to buy in advance, as judging by the number of hits we've had on this article, it's going to be big!

Artists Against Apartheid and the US Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel would like to extend our thanks to Carlos Santana for honoring the call for the Cultural Boycott of Israel, by electing not to perform in the apartheid state. The call for cultural boycott was successful in creating international accountability for human rights violations in apartheid South Africa, and is now being applied in the case of Israel.
why did santana cancel his concert in Isreal…I have heard rumours…please let me know…he is having a concert in NY and I do not want to go if he cancelled his tour because of racisim.
