Paul Anka to give Concert in Tel Aviv in May

8 January 2010 One Comment

Singer Paul Anka managed to fill up Tel Aviv’s Nokia Arena in November, two days in a row. Now he will try to do it again.

The 1960s teen idol has booked another performance in the very same place in Israel, on May 29.

Since the two November gigs, agents Shmuel and Yoav Tzemach, who were responsible for bringing the singer to Israel, have been receiving many requests for another concert. Anka recently received an offer from Shmuel Tzemach to perform in the Holy Land once again, and the singer agreed in light of the warmth he was received with last time.

Anka will be accompanied by 12 musicians in the scheduled concert. In case of an increased demand for tickets, an additional performance may be added. Tickets are already on sale at the Castel ticket office in Tel Aviv. (tkts.co.il)

Paul Anka was my idol as a young 8-9 year old. This is not surprising to me that he can still demand a sell out crowd, not on one occasion, but over two nights. His voice and those wonderful lyrics of the 60@s. Oh what a wonderful time that was.
