Jerusalem Festival of Light. June 6-14, 2012
The Jerusalem Festival of Light is an annual festival in which the Old City of Jerusalem is brought to light. Dramatic light-ups of the ancient architecture of the Old City as well as the installation of light statues, performances, and pieces of museum artwork conceived by some of the leading light artists from Israel and the world will be complemented by onstage and street performances. The 2012 Jerusalem Festival of Light will take place between June 6-14.

Set to be the biggest festival yet, the 2012 light festival will be focused around the connection between light and sound, and feature two unique performances by Israeli groups – one by the Mayumana dance troupe, and the other by the Pyromania group, both of whom have traveled the world sharing their performances.
The 2012 Festival of Light will bring light artists from France, Portugal, Italy, Germany, England, Holland and Estonia, as well as from across Israel, to Jerusalem. Together, they will create of the world’s largest light festivals set to attract 250,000 visitors.
Visiting the Jerusalem Festival of Light
Entrance to the festival is free of charge and suitable for all ages. Entry to the Mayumana and Pyromania performances requires payment.

Dome of Light
The 2012 festival will have trails: Green, Blue and Orange. The audience can freely travel between them. The trails include:
The Green Trail
Ha’Tzanhanim Street via Damascus Gate and Zedekiah’s Cave, leading to Mauristan Square
The Blue Trail
The Christian Quarter
The Orange Trail
