Jerusalem Beer Festival. 31 August – 1 September, 2011

The annual Jerusalem Beer Festival will take place in 2011 on the 31 August and 1 September at the Old Train Station on Derech Hebron (Hebron Road) in downtown Jerusalem. This is the seventh time the annual festival has taken place, and the organizers have this year planned an event to remember with 100,000 liters of more than a hundred beer brands from all over the world will be offered, ranging from local micro-breweries, to mainstream international brands. In addition, the festival will see performances from some of Israel’s top bands, great food, and displays of the process of beer production.

2010 Jerusalem Beer Festival The festival will kick off each evening at 6.00pm, lasting late into the night, with the doors closing at midnight. Entry to the festival costs 30 NIS (25 NIS for students, soldiers, and Jerusalemite Card holders), and early arrival is recommended as more than 20,000 people are expected to attend.

As well as beer and food, the festival will also feature concerts from popular Israeli bands, Mercedes Band (http://www.myspace.com/mercedesband) and Beit Habubot (www.myspace.com/beithabubotisrael), after which, visitors will dance into the night to beats played by top Israeli DJs Elad Veron and Dror Shalit.
