This unique group tour takes you to Masada when the sun is rising – an Israeli tradition, and is the only group tour to do so! As you climb to the top of beautiful fortress which stands proudly aside the Dead Sea, you’ll soon understand what all the hype is about! After exploring Masada, you’ll visit the amazing Ein Gedi Nature Reserve for a hike, and swim, float, and immerse yourself in the Dead Sea! The tour starts and ends conveniently in Jerusalem.

Masada Sunrise Group Highlights

  • From Jerusalem, drive to southern Israel for a brilliant day in nature.
  • Hike up in the cool darkness to the top of the ancient desert fortress of Masada via the famous snake path.
  • Watch the day begin with a spectacular sunrise over the Moab Mountains and the Judean Desert.
  • Tour the top of the mountain for a couple of hours to discover the history of one the greatest Jewish symbols of hope and pride.
  • Continue on to the real highlight of the tour, a 2.5hr walk through the stunning Ein Gedi nature reserve with its permanent springs, waterfalls and amazing desert plants and wildlife.
  • After your long walk you will be ready to rest your tired feet and float effortlessly in the healing waters of the Dead Sea, or take a bath in the therapeutic mud at the lowest place on Earth.
