The Holon Women’s Festival is an annual event which dates back to 1996 and has taken place ever year since. The festival displays a wide range of female endeavors and gives expression to women’s creativity in every facet of life, from art through economics and social issues to politics, and each year hosts some of the greatest names in Israeli and international music, culture, and society who perform. American hard-rock legends Guns and Roses might give a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2012. Dutch DJ sensation Afrojack will be giving a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel in March 2012. Afrojack, whose full name is Nick van de Wall, was named as the seventh best DJ in the world in 2011, and he has performed around the world, winning a Grammy award along the way. Afrojack will be performing in Tel Aviv for one night only on March 16, 2012 at the Bitan 1 club in Tel Aviv. Tickets are on sale now.

The Tel Aviv Jazz Festival is an annual event taking place ever February in the city. A highlight of the Tel Aviv events calendar, the Jazz Festival has a reputation as a magnet attracting jazz’s big names from across the world, who perform alongside home-grown talent, and the special performances which are produced especially for the festival. The 2012 Tel Aviv Jazz Festival will take place between February 21-24, at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque.

Madonna, the Queen of Pop, is set to return to give a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel in May 2012 as part of her new world tour. Tickets are on sale now. Madonna will be performing at the Ramat Gan Stadium just outside Tel Aviv as the first stop on her MDNA concert tour on May 29, 2012. It will be her first concert in Israel since 2009. General release tickets will go on sale this Friday and will cost NIS 240-490. Tickets for the VIP section, including seats in front of the stage, will cost an average of NIS 1,500.

EPOS, The International Art Film Festival, is the first film festival to be held in Israel which will be dedicated to encounters between the arts and cinema. The EPOS Festival will be based in Tel Aviv, at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, however, will see films simultaneously shown across the country. The festival will feature about fifty films, from Israel and around the world, as well as workshops, master-classes, lectures, and interactions with film-makers from around the world. The EPOS International Art Film Festival will take place between February 1-4, 2012.

For the first time ever, Tel Aviv Art Weekend is going to be hosted in March 2012, as part of Tel Aviv Art Year. The weekend is part of a wider program of events celebrating the opening of the new wing at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art which opened late last year. The Tel Aviv Art Weekend will take place between March 21-24, 2012, which will feature art gatherings, special museum openings, large scale public art events, shows, tours, and more unique and fascinating events.
