Kookia Ensemble presents “Belly Sensation”: A Colorful and exciting dance theatre production. A story of a woman torn between social expectations and the need to fulfill her own free will. A fascinating journey of power, madness, laughter and sensation. The event takes place at the Arab-Hebrew Theater in Jaffa on February 15, 2012.

FuerzaBruta, the amazing dance show sensation will be in Tel Aviv, Israel for a month of shows in February 2012. FuerzaBruta has been a huge success around the world, including in cultural capitals such as London and New York, and is making its first visit to the Middle East for its shows in Tel Aviv. Somewhat unique, FuerzaBruta fuses incredible dance and theater to create a show like no other. It will be in Tel Aviv between February 17-22, 2012 and will be performing at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds.

EPOS, The International Art Film Festival, is the first film festival to be held in Israel which will be dedicated to encounters between the arts and cinema. The EPOS Festival will be based in Tel Aviv, at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, however, will see films simultaneously shown across the country. The festival will feature about fifty films, from Israel and around the world, as well as workshops, master-classes, lectures, and interactions with film-makers from around the world. The EPOS International Art Film Festival will take place between February 1-4, 2012.

For the first time ever, Tel Aviv Art Weekend is going to be hosted in March 2012, as part of Tel Aviv Art Year. The weekend is part of a wider program of events celebrating the opening of the new wing at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art which opened late last year. The Tel Aviv Art Weekend will take place between March 21-24, 2012, which will feature art gatherings, special museum openings, large scale public art events, shows, tours, and more unique and fascinating events.

The Sound of Winter is a new event starting in Jerusalem in February 2012. Every Monday during the month, the festival will move to another part of town bringing with it twenty to twenty-five events giving a grand total of eighty events in Jerusalem throughout the month! All of the events are free, and the events range from concerts to exhibitions, film screenings, cooking classes, workshops, art lessons, movie marathons and more! The Sound of Winter, Jerusalem will be taking place in Jerusalem in February 2012.

The Florentin Circus, one of Israel’s premier circus acts, will be performing in Tel Aviv in February and March, 2012. The circus is a modern circus meaning it features no animal performances, which combines dance, theater, and street performance. The Florentin Circus performs at Kfar Hayarok in north Tel Aviv where it has two tents in which it performs. The circus will be giving performances throughout February and March, 2012.

Pianist Richard Clayderman will be giving three concerts in Israel, in the cities of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa, in early March 2012. The trio of concerts will be the first in Israel for four years for the French musician whose career has spanned over four decades. Clayderman has sold over 100 million albums in 57 different countries, with 290 gold and 90 platinum discs, and his greatest hits include “Ballade pour Adeline”, “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina”, as well as themes from West Side Story, Love Story and Schindler’s List, all of which will feature in his concerts in Israel. Clayderman will perform in Israel between March 1-3, 2012.

The Scorpions, one of the most popular heavy metal bands in history will be returning to Israel to give a concert in Tel Aviv. The band will perform their ballads which are particularly popular among their Israeli audience for whom they have performed a number of times in recent years. The Scorpions will be giving their concert in Tel Aviv on May 7, 2012, at the Nokia Arena.
