Founded in 2008, Tourist Israel is Israel’s leading independent travel website – providing information about things to do, places to visit, and events across Israel, as well as restaurants, activities, and accommodation. Aimed at independent tourists, the site focuses on many off-the-beaten-track activities – from sites that are usually not discovered by tourists, to events that only locals usually enjoy. Our readers are young, fun, and want more than just a tour bus experience, they want to experience the real Israel for its diversity and its complexity, by reaching into the soul of the country and finding what we love about it so much!

Over 25% of English speaking tourists to Israel use Tourist Israel to plan their trip, find places to visit, and things to do. It makes us the largest site of our type. We also have a great following on social media – over 20,000 organic fans (we didn’t need to pay for them, they just love us naturally!).

We are passionate about showing the cool Israel, a land full of unique, unforgettable people, places, sounds, smells, tastes and experiences – from the coolest city in the Mediterranean, Tel Aviv to the furthest reaches of the Negev Desert, or green Galilee, the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, and the unique city of Jerusalem.
