Last June saw the Old City of Jerusalem brought to light in the first “Light of Jerusalem” festival. And this, June, the festival is back for a second offering between June 9-16.

Rock-supremo Elvis Costello is coming to Israel on June 30 to give a one-night only performance in the breathtaking location of the Caesarea amphitheatre overlooking the Mediterranean.

International superstar Rihanna is rumoured to be performing in Tel Aviv in the end of May. RihannaDaily.com report that she’s been invited to perform at a show organised by Orange at the Bloomfield Stadium somewhere between May 27th and 29th.

British singer Alison Moyet and her band will take part in the International Woman’s Festival, set to be held between March 3-6 near Tel Aviv.

It is now rumoured that Bob Dylan will be the latest in the long line of artists coming to Israel this summer to perform. He is expected to give a concert at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park on May 27.

Veteran British singer Rod Stewart has announced he is coming to Tel Aviv to give a concert at the Ramat Gan Stadium on July 1.

Metallica have just announced that they expect to perform at the Ramat Gan Stadium, near Tel Aviv on 22 May.

Elton John has announced that he is coming to Israel in June to give a concert in the Ramat Gan Stadium near Tel Aviv.

UPDATE: UNFORTUNATELY THIS CONCERT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Rock musician and guitarist Carlos Santana will include Israel in his summer tour, it has just been announced. He will come to Tel Aviv and perform at Jaffa’s Blumfield Stadium in June, joining Beyonce, Rihanna, Pixies, Elton John and U2 who are also going to be performing in Israel this year.

Paul Anka, the iconic 60’s singer had such a good reception at his two concerts in Tel Aviv in November 2009, that he’s returning, in May of this year.
